Budapest

I honestly can't remember our reason for coming to Budapest this time...we were probably picking someone up from the airport. We went around and did things we haven't usually done. St. Stephen's church is pretty awesome:

This cathedral is so popular because they claim to have one of St. Stephen's hands. They opened up the grave or something, and his hand was still preserved so they took it, wrapped it in diamonds and pearls, and put it in a box for people to see. Pretty gross.

The House of Terror is about WWII in Hungary. It was awful and depressing, just like every other museum about that time in history. The sign on the roof is backwards and upside down so you can see "Terror" outlined on the wall of the building.

This is the chain bridge--Jeff's favorite. You come across it and then pass through a tunnel. Some of it was blown up during WWII but they reconstructed it and it's sweet.

Here's the front of the Buda Castle. 1,000 years old, at least.

View from the castle

There are tons of monuments and sculptures and pointless things on the grounds of the castle. Pointless, but pretty.
