Hungary....? Why Wait?

Welcome to our blog! We are excited to be a part of the blogger nation. We hope that you will enjoy keeping up with us.

We are currently living just east of Idaho Falls in my (Jeff's) aunt's house while she is teaching English in China for a year. We have a cozy little house and are very grateful that we were able to find a place to stay where we are surrounded by family.

We are enjoying the ward here and have been treated very graciously. Josie was called to be the relief society pianist and has been receiving standing ovations each sunday after the opening hymn...well, maybe sitting ovations minus the ovations, but still. She was excited to get the call and the bishop even gave us a key to the building so Josie can practice and Jeff can exercise in the gym can listen to her practice. I am currently teaching primary with a high school buddy of mine. We certainly never thought that we would be teaching 6 year olds together. I have enjoyed the learning opportunities and haven't had any encounters with parents yet, so it must be going well.

Josie is currently working at JoAnn Fabric and Craft and has become increasingly crafty as of late and even sewed her very own pillow case last week. She starts school this week and is set to graduate from BYU-I in July with her Bachelor's degree!

I graduated from BYU-I in December with a 4 year 7.5 year Bachelor's degree in Business Management with emphasis in supply chain and finance. I have been on the job hunt as of late and have been hoping to find something in the Idaho Falls or Rexburg area until Josie finishes school. We haven't had much luck until last Friday when I received a call from a good friend of mine that I've been best friends with for 20 years. He offered me a job that wasn't in Idaho Falls, or Idaho, or even the United States. The company, Dome Technology, has a position available in Kaposvar, Hungary for the next nine months.

Long story short, we are moving to Hungary in two weeks! So, barring the project contract falling through in the next two weeks, we will be living in the middle of Europe until the end of September. We are excited and very nervous but feel that we are in a great position to take on such an adventure. We have started this blog to make sure that we stay in touch with our family while we are gone.
